Retreats
Retreats are an invitation for you to step outside your current context of life, enter into another world of spiritual wonder, and redefine the foundation on which you find personal purpose and meaning.
Our Winter 2023 India pilgrimage is an invitation for you to step outside your current context of life, enter into another world of spiritual wonder, and redefine the foundation on which you find personal purpose and meaning. Life has tested, pressed and squeezed all of us this past year. It is a testament to our spiritual endurance to continuously seek our center and reground ourselves. For centuries, India has invoked the deep yearnings of the soul for truth, connection and devotion. Going on pilgrimage provides a unique opportunity to dive deep into an ancient spiritual culture that can reawaken our sense of inner fulfillment. As pilgrims, we approach our journey in a mood of opening our minds and hearts with humility so that genuine transformation can take place in our lives. You will be in the company of supportive fellow travelers and form personal friendships that often last a lifetime. Throughout our journey, we will sing sacred songs in Kirtan, hear and discuss teachings from yoga texts, take part in regular asana practice, and share wholesome meals together. From ancient temples to breathtaking landscapes to colorful palaces and simple-hearted yogis imbued with spiritual wisdom and love, we can enter into a world beyond anything we’ve ever experienced.

We will fly into Mumbai and head straight to Govardhan Eco Village for 4 days of diving into the essence of India’s Yoga traditions with renowned teachers from around the world. The Govardhan Eco Village is situated on 50 acres of pristine farmland and aims to demonstrate the principles of self-sufficiency and localized economy to the world. We will stay in eco-friendly guest rooms in the naturally charming village, eat local dishes made from organic grains and vegetables grown on the land, and tour the facilities to see how a group of bhakti-yogis are making a difference towards a greener world. We will practice yoga daily, attend a variety of life changing workshops, swim in the inviting bio pool and spend personal time falling in love with the cows and other farm animals.
After 4 days there, we will head back to Mumbai for the Flower Festival! Thousands and thousands of colorful flower petals showering the deities and the entire temple room! We will hear wonderful discourses at the beautifully carved sandstone Radha Gopinath Temple as well as experience real India through the moods of celebration with God in the center.
We will then head to Rishikesh; a small town situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges River in the foothills of the Himalayas. Here we will practice Yoga and Meditation each morning, hike through the Himalayan foothills, visit the local markets, and honor the sacred Ganges River. From Rishikesh, we will make our way to Haridwar.
We will spend our last few days in the most sacred of villages, Vrindavan; a village with over 5,000 temples celebrating the birthplace of Lord Krsna. Here we will visit temples and holy sites, hear stories from sadhus, do lots of kirtan (!), and partake in pilgrimage around the sacred town.

Bhagavat-sravana is a weekly immersion for Bhakti enthusiasts who desire to commune with the sacred texts of the tradition. Together, we are led through a reading and discussion of the writings of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada including Srimad Bhagavatam, Sri Caitanya Caritamrta and other important texts. Throughout the year we group the classes around themes. It’s a simple and informal way to deepen one’s learning of Bhakti-yoga wisdom in a group setting.
Elements of the program include:
- reciting beautiful Sanskrit verses
- reading and discussing translations and commentaries
- sharing reflections
- singing bhajans and kirtan
- shared vegetarian meal at the end
