The focus of this offering of Growing Bhakti is on nurturing & nourishing relationships while simultaneously encouraging each other on the path of Bhakti Yoga. The program includes Check-ins, Kirtans, Discussions and Dinner Prasad.

Yin Yoga is a style of yoga in which each passive asana (posture) is held for an extended period of time (5 minutes or more per pose is typical). In a faster paced vinyasa class we often miss connecting with the posture, breath and deeper muscles. Yin yoga applies emphasis to slowing down and holding passive stretches in the postures. This in turn opens the connective tissues of the body, tendons, fascia and ligaments, increasing circulation and flexibility.

This intimate practice of yoga requires students to be ready to get intimate with the self, with feelings, sensations, and emotions, something that can be easy to miss in a fast-paced yoga practice. Yin Yoga is often engaged in programs for addictions, eating disorders, anxiety and deep pain or trauma, as well as simply for deep relaxation and opening of the body and mind.

Urban Devi is a monthly interactive women’s discussion circle that seeks to make spirituality accessible to women in the 21st century. Each session will focus on a theme based on topics that are of importance to women and will offer insight and practical applications from the practice of Bhakti Yoga.

Bhakti is love in action and emotion. With theatre one may experience and share this. When the stage becomes an altar, our body, words, thoughts, and feelings are all simply an offering. One may zoom into the life of spiritual giants such that others can reach out and touch them. With devotional theatre I have felt the ancient texts come alive and the thirst to feel quenched.

‘Poetic’ is one of the qualities attributed to a devotee of Krishna, one that should come naturally as we practice Krishna Bhakti. What does ‘poetic’ mean and what does a more poetic life look like? Join us as we explore this topic and learn from each other.

Whether you are new to meditation or want to understand and deepen this powerful practice in a more systematic way, this workshop is for you!

During this 2 hour experience, we will explore and experience the classical techniques passed down from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Shiva Samhita, Gerand Samhita and the Bhagavad Gita – tested, and mastered methods by previous yogis and rishis to help us experience a sense of inner peace, control over the emotions, relaxation of the the body and the mind, and above all, a sense of universal Love for every living entity.
